Having trouble with channels or interactions?
If you’re running into any of these issues, you’re in the right place:
You can’t select a channel/space (old or new) for reports
A renamed channel doesn’t show its latest name in the dropdown
Interactions in channels aren’t working as expected
Keep reading for quick fixes.
Why this happens
The bot syncs channel information from your chat platform. For example, when a channel is renamed, the chat platform sends an update so the bot can refresh its records.
Sometimes those updates get delayed (e.g., too many updates queued), which can slow down syncing or temporarily stop it. When that happens, you might notice:
A channel doesn’t appear, even after inviting the bot
The channel info looks outdated (like an old name)
What to do
1) Give it a moment
In many cases, it resolves on its own. Wait 2–3 minutes, then refresh the app.
2) Re-invite the bot
If the channel/space still doesn’t show in the dropdown:
Remove the bot from the channel/space
Add it again
Refresh the web app
3) Force a channel refresh
If the issue persists, in the affected channel (public or private), type:
@Dailybot add_channel
or@Dailybot addChannel
Then refresh the app and check again.
4) If a channel rename isn’t showing
If you renamed a channel and the new name isn’t appearing:
Remove and re-add the bot to that channel
Refresh the web app
