Join an existing organization from Google Chat
Hey, if you're here it's probably because someone from your team just invited you to DailyBot. Welcome! 👋
There are two ways to join an existing DailyBot organization: By email or through an invite link. Let's check them out.
1. Join by email
Joining a DailyBot organization by email is blazing fast. As you’ll notice from the welcome email, it’s a simple process.
Follow the steps in the email and create your DailyBot account, you will need to log in with your Google Chat account that you want to use DailyBot with and give permissions.
If everything went well, the bot will say hi to you ②. Now you’re ready to start running team check-ins, giving or receiving kudos, and more! You can follow the link to explore DailyBot on the web, edit your profile, etc., though that’s entirely up to you. You’re all set.
2. Join with an invite link
Using a link is a quick way to get up and running on an existing organization. If an org admin provided you with a sharable link to join their organization, it will take you to this screen:
The option prompts a new Google sign-in page where you must use the same credentials as on Google Chat to sign in.
Google might show you another window where it explains each permission that DailyBot needs to function well on your workspace (More on this in our Privacy Policy). Click “Allow” to continue.
If this is your first time using DailyBot, it might take 1 or 2 quick seconds to complete the integration.
Right after you’ll be redirected to the following ‘Get started’ screen. At this point, your account was successfully created already.
If everything went well, the bot will say hi to you and explain how to proceed. You can go back to the previous tab to check DailyBot on the web or wait for the next team check-in, you’re on a roll!
