How to integrate DailyBot to your Google Calendar?
To integrate your Google Calendar account to DailyBot go to Settings -> API & Integrations -> Google Calendar. Here you will arrive at this screen:
Simply click on the top right button Connect Google Calendar to begin the authentication process.
Complete the authentication with your Google account and you will be asked to select the calendar you want to sync to your DailyBot account:
That's it! In the calendar integration page you can customize the way you engage with the Google Calendar integration.
Also, once you've finished integrating with Google calendar, you should receive a message from DailyBot.
How does it work?
Ask about your schedule
You can query DailyBot at any time about your schedule using natural language, and he will get that information to you directly to your chat.
Try asking DailyBot questions like:
- What are my meetings today?
- What are my meetings tomorrow?
Schedule meetings using DailyBot
Wit the Google Calendar integration you can schedule any meetings with your team without having to leave the chat using natural language.
You can also tag other team members @username to include them in the participant list of your meeting. For example:
- Schedule a meeting at 3pm with @John and @Alice tomorrow.
Note: To have a smooth experience scheduling calls with other team members, make sure they have integrated their Google Calendar account with DailyBot.
Use it in your Daily Standup
Note: Right now the Google Calendar integration can only be used in Check-ins that follow the Daily Standup template.
You can see quick reminders of what's happened in your Daily Standup recap so DailyBot can help you fill out your Daily Standup report by reminding you all of the action items from the previous day and reminding you of everything scheduled for today on your Google Calendar.
