Adding members to DailyBot

Go to Members (Settings > Members) to add new members to the organization as a whole, or go to the Teams (Settings > Teams) tab and open a specific team's members section to add them to that team. Use the text input to search for the user you want to invite to the organization or team.

About default teams

When users join your organization by themselves, i.e. using the Slack connect button, and the organization has the autojoin option ON, they'll automatically join to your current default team (you can change what your default team is in Teams).

Approving new users

If your organization is under a paid plan, you have the option of moderating new team members by disabling autojoin (Settings > Plan > Allow members to auto-join plan).

This way, org admins will get a notification on the web app (navbar) and by email when new users join.

Adding members on Slack

To add a member from Slack follow the procedures above. Make sure all users are on the same Slack server and you'll be able to invite them from the Members tab.

Adding members on Google Chat

For Google Chat, users should first add the bot to their chat and send him a private message, then finish the signup process.

Once that's done, the org admin can see the users in the org, invite them to teams, etc.

Something similar happens with the channels: to configure a channel/room for DailyBot to send reports to, you should first add the bot to that room in Google Chat.

You can also select the Add from: G Suite and you will be asked from Google to give DailyBot permission to be able to see users and you can invite them from there.

You can also click on Copy invitation link and send users a link to join DailyBot directly.

Adding members on Microsoft Teams

Users should add the bot to their team within the Microsoft Teams workspace, then they can either go to the Members section, or go to the Teams tab and open a specific team's members section to add the new users there.

Use the text input to search for the user you want to invite to the organization or team.

Adding members on Discord

Similarly to Teams and Slack, adding members on Discord is as simple as going to your Settings - > Members and you can invite anyone in the Discord server you've set up DailyBot in to use DailyBot.

Deactivating members

You can deactivate members at any time from the Settings > Members window.

When you deactivate a member, they won't be able to login to the web and DailyBot will stop interacting with them via chat.

You can reactivate the members at any moment and you won't lose any data.
